Main Character Reboot
A private, self-guided 14-day experience for finally noticing the patterns behind your overthinking, people-pleasing, rushing, controlling, replaying, explaining, and looking everywhere else for the “right” answer.
I NEED THIS →$47 · 14 days · about 10 minutes a day · completely self-guided
No appointments. No calls. No subscription. You cannot fall behind.
You probably already have enough people doing that. Maybe you’ve Googled it, read the books, taken the personality tests, saved 47 Instagram posts, asked your friends, considered therapy, started therapy, or thought about making an appointment and then decided you’d rather reorganize your entire kitchen.
Or maybe you’ve actually sat across from someone who was supposed to help you and realized you were STILL trying to give them the right answer. Still wondering what they thought of you. Still explaining. Still editing. Still trying to be understood correctly.
It’s really hard to figure out what’s actually going on inside your head when part of your brain is busy managing how it looks from the outside.
No appointment. No awkward intake form. No trying to explain the last 20 years of your life in 50 minutes. No wondering if you answered correctly.
Just you, about ten minutes a day, and one tiny thing to notice or try. Not because you need to fix yourself. Because you might finally notice some things about yourself that are really hard to see when you’re busy performing for everyone else.

One important thing before we keep going.
Main Character Reboot is not therapy, mental-health treatment, medical advice, or a replacement for professional care.
I made it because there was a point in my own life when I desperately wanted answers but wasn’t ready to sit across from another person and explain myself honestly.
I needed somewhere to start. Somewhere private enough that I could stop worrying about the right answer long enough to notice the real one.
That’s what I wanted Reboot to be.
A place to start.
You’re getting things done. Taking care of people. Thinking ahead. Handling the thing before anyone has to ask. Saying “I’ll just do it” with a level of enthusiasm that suggests you absolutely do not want to just do it. And somewhere along the way, “I’ll enjoy this once things calm down” became how you live most of your life.
You love your people. You’re grateful for what you have. You’ve worked hard for a lot of it. You’re not trying to burn everything down and start over. You’d just like to stop spending so much of it somewhere else.
You’re there. You’re just rarely only there.
There will always be something that makes right now feel like a bad time to actually enjoy it.
And the tricky part is, nothing terrible happens while you wait. You still get shit done. You show up. You make the memories. You take the pictures. Everybody gets where they need to go. Which is exactly why it’s so easy to keep doing it.
You just get to another Sunday night wondering how the weekend is already over. Another Christmas you spent making magic for everybody else while mentally running through what still needed to be done. Another vacation you were so excited for and somehow mostly remember packing bags, cleaning up, making plans and trying to keep everybody entertained. Another school year of rushing through mornings you swore you were going to stop rushing through.
Until one day you realize a lot of the life you kept waiting to enjoy later already happened. The random Tuesday afternoons. The boring dinners. The car rides. The errands. The bedtime stories you’ve heard 400 times. The Saturday mornings when nobody had anywhere to be. That’s the stuff your life is actually made of.
The good news is, you don’t need to quit your job, delete Instagram, move to a farm, or suddenly become a person who meditates at sunrise to finally enjoy your life. You just need to get better at catching the tiny ways you leave yourself in the one you already have.
I feel so completely seen it feels raw and vulnerable in a way that is both a relief and terrifying, and also makes me want to cry.
Oh my goodness. I’m halfway through, and I don’t even know what to say. I’m going to have to read this several times to make sure I get it all. My “Wait” page is 40. I actually teared up. But so far everything is me. All of it.
I love the Cartographer guide. It feels absolutely like me… The Cartographer is a description that honors who i am in a positive way and does not contain words like “disorder” in it.
I’ve added this place to my bookmarks on my home computer and my iPad - because it does mean something and I’m glad I found it… I’m learning a lot about myself in the process.
I love that last question on your list - “who would I be if I stopped trying to perform adulthood correctly for five minutes?” That is going to resonate with me for awhile.
Enjoying this a lot. It has made me reflect and think.
Your insight is incredible, and you are able to put it into words that make sense.
Right now, I’m learning how to be me. I used to know. I can know again.
Thank you for creating safe spaces to be ourselves ⭐️
You’ve probably spent a lot of time trying to understand yourself already. You’ve Googled it. Read about it. Saved the posts. Taken the quizzes. Asked your friends. Replayed conversations. Maybe you’ve even sat across from someone whose literal job was to help you figure it out.
And somehow you can still walk away wondering if you gave them the right version of what was actually happening. Because when you’ve spent years looking outside yourself for the answer, you can accidentally do the exact same thing while you’re trying to understand yourself.
What would they think? How do I explain this? Does this make sense? Am I overreacting? What am I supposed to say?
It’s really hard to figure out what’s happening inside your own head when part of your brain is busy managing how it looks from the outside. That’s why Reboot doesn’t start by giving you more answers. It starts by getting you alone with your own.
You already know you overthink, people-please, rush, and care way too much about what everyone thinks. You have probably saved approximately 700 posts about being more present, setting better boundaries, caring less what people think, and finally slowing down.
Knowing isn’t really the problem. The problem is that most of the time, you don’t catch yourself until afterward.
And afterward?
You can explain exactly what you did.
You might even know why you did it.
But by then, you already did it.
Understanding yourself afterward isn’t the same thing as being there for yourself while it’s happening. The Reboot is about getting there sooner.
Not becoming a woman who never overthinks, rushes, people-pleases, gets uncomfortable, or gives a shit what anybody thinks. Getting better at catching yourself while there’s still time to choose what you want to do next.
That’s the skill we’re practicing for 14 days.
old settings
pattern → react → realize afterward
rebooting…
pattern → NOTICE → choose
That tiny gap changes more than you’d think. Main_Character_Reboot.exe isn’t fourteen days of me explaining people-pleasing and overthinking to you like you haven’t already spent half your adult life trying to figure out why you do what you do.
You probably already know a whole lot about yourself. The problem is, most of that understanding happens from a distance. When you’re calm. Afterward. While you’re journaling. While you’re explaining it to somebody. At 11:47 PM while you’re researching why you reacted the way you did.
Reboot is about bringing that awareness into the moment you’re actually living. Because knowing why you do something at 11:47 PM doesn’t necessarily help when you’re doing it at 3:17 PM.
So for fourteen days, we practice catching it there. Each day takes about ten minutes. We pull apart one of those tiny things you do without really thinking about it, figure out what it looks like in your actual life, and then you get one small thing to try the next time it shows up.
No giant life overhaul. No new routine to maintain. Just practice noticing yourself a little sooner. Because the goal isn’t to understand yourself perfectly while you’re reading a lesson. The goal is to catch yourself on a random Tuesday afternoon, while you still have the chance to choose what happens next.
real comments from women doing the reboot
I think my self-flagellation has been more along the lines of “that was a bad call”, not “I’m an idiot” - we’ll call that baby steps of progress on Shame.
I read through the Reboot exercise of Shame - oh how this resonates with me. I will be thinking of this all day, noticing when I turn facts into character assasinations.
“I wasn’t really looking for information anymore. I was looking for certainty.” Ok that explains my afternoon.

Not diagnose them. Not fix your entire life. Not become a different person. Just get quiet enough to hear your own answer, and close enough to yourself to notice what’s happening while you still have a choice about what happens next.
~10 minutes a day · fully async · nothing to catch up on
And yes, you get to do this completely by yourself.
Open the day’s lesson when you’re ready. Spend about ten minutes with it. Try the tiny experiment in your actual life.
That’s it.
You can do the entire Reboot without another human knowing what you wrote, thought, realized, cried about, laughed at, or suddenly understood about yourself.
And if you’re thinking, oh thank God…
Yeah. I made it that way on purpose.
Main Character Reboot is a self-guided educational and reflective experience. It isn’t therapy, mental-health treatment, medical advice, or a substitute for professional care.
Probably nothing cinematic. You don’t wake up on Day 15 meditating at sunrise, completely unbothered and mysteriously incapable of overthinking. You just start catching yourself sooner.
And sometimes? You still do the exact same thing you would’ve done before. But now you were there for the decision.
That’s Main Character Energy. Not making everything about yourself. Just being present enough in your own life to actually have a say in it.
what it looked like on a regular morning
I brewed my coffee, and brought it out to the porch… After about 10 minutes outside, I noticed something - there was less tension in my chest. I could breathe deeply and I felt, dare I say it?, at peace.
This mornings exercise and yesterday’s Reboot practice combined in an utterly delightful way this morning, and I feel ready to start the day and week with a bit more cushion - I just have more bandwidth for errors than I did at the start of the day.
I definitely let my body have a say in life today, and once it felt better, I actually enjoyed the day!
Who the hell am I when I’m not trying to do what everyone expects of me? I guess I’ve got some work to do to figure that out! Thank you for the launchpad!

reasonable questions, honest answers
Nope. Main Character Reboot is a one-time $47 purchase. Your card will not be charged again for the Reboot, and there’s nothing you have to remember to cancel.
You can’t.
If you miss three days, you’re not behind. You’re just on Day 4 a little later than you planned. A new lesson opens each day, and every one you’ve opened stays open. Nothing expires, nothing locks back up, and nobody is keeping score. Take three weeks. Take six. Disappear because life got lifey and come back when you remember we exist.
Nope. There’s no system, tracker, habit streak, optimized morning routine, or new list of things you should really be doing every day.
Several of these lessons are actually about noticing how much of your life you’ve already turned into a project. You do not need another system for managing yourself better. We’re trying to get you out of management mode long enough to actually be in your life.
Absolutely not.
No calls. No webinars. No “see you Tuesday at 7.” No camera you need to turn on while pretending the pile of laundry beside you isn’t there. Everything is written and fully async. Read today’s lesson at 5 AM, 11 PM, in the school pickup line, or three days later than you planned. It waits for you.
The Reboot is yours to keep. Every lesson you’ve unlocked stays open, so when Day 6 starts Day 6-ing again six months from now, you can come right back.
And when you finish the Reboot (or Day 21 rolls around, whichever comes first), you’ll get your seat inside the private community too.
There is no automatic charge at the end of the Reboot. You won’t wake up one day subscribed to something you forgot about.
You could absolutely keep figuring this out on your own. You’re good at figuring things out. Honestly, that’s probably part of how you got here.
You can keep Googling. Thinking. Reading. Saving posts. Asking people what they think. Realizing things about yourself three hours after they happened. And eventually, you’ll probably figure out a whole lot of this on your own. I did. It just took me a really long time.
And somewhere along the way, I realized I didn’t need another person to hand me the answers. I needed to get quiet enough to hear my own. That’s what I built the Reboot to help you practice.
Not figuring out your entire life in fourteen days. Not becoming someone who never overthinks, people-pleases, rushes, spirals, or gives a shit what anybody thinks. Just noticing yourself a little sooner.
While the conversation is still happening. While your kid is still telling you the story. While you’re about to send the paragraph. While you’re making the decision. While this random Tuesday afternoon is still yours to live.
Because your life is already happening. And you deserve to actually be there for it.
You don’t need to have yourself figured out to start. You just need somewhere to start.
