alice in adultland

What if nothing was ever wrong with you?

For the late-diagnosed, the self-suspecting, and the women who never fit the mold.

Imagine a room where nobody looks surprised when you admit you’ve been sitting in the driveway for twenty minutes, working up to going inside.

A room where rabbit trails are welcome. Where half-finished thoughts count. Where you finally say the quiet thing out loud, and instead of someone trying to fix you, they simply reply, me too.

Stop treating yourself like a problem to solve.

You can be intelligent. Successful. A wonderful mom. A loving wife. The dependable friend.

And still lie awake wondering why everyday life feels so much harder for you than it seems to for everyone else.

Adultland is where women stop asking, “What’s wrong with me?” and start asking, “What would help?”

this is what it sounds like in here

Has anyone else questioned their diagnosis because they don’t fit every single box on the list?
I can stare at the dishes for an hour. But the second I wash one plate, my brain has to finish the whole sink.
Happy is yellow. Mondays are red. Grape is definitely purple. Do your senses do this too?
You are so not overthinking this, and you are so not alone.

The Mad Tea Party
The Gray Areas
Has anyone had a diagnosis but questioned it because you don't fit all the criteria? In 2024 at 65 I was assessed with combined ADHD. It made sense, but I still have some doubt.
The Breathing Room
I just deleted over 30,000 emails, some as old as 8 years. I've wanted to do that for a very long time.
The Mad Tea Party
My husband and I are on a road trip to visit 3 of my adult children and one of my grandkids, and we're listening to 80s on 8. Bruce Hornsby came on and I said the piano part is the Thomas Kincaid of music. Same feeling.

For years I thought the nightly guilt was me paying attention. Every night ended the same way, running the tape of everything I could have done better…

Come in. We saved you a seat.

This was never about fixing you. Nothing needs fixing. It’s about finally understanding the woman who has been here all along, and giving her a place to set the armor down.

It’s a map, not a biography. And you don’t have to read it alone.

before you ask

A few good questions.

Who is Adultland for?

Women navigating burnout, perfectionism, anxiety, people-pleasing, motherhood, big dreams, major life transitions, or the feeling that they've spent years building a life that doesn't quite fit.

Many of us are late-diagnosed ADHD or AuDHD. Many are still wondering. Plenty just know their brain never quite fit the template.

You don't need a diagnosis. You don't need a crisis. You just need the willingness to be honest about what's working and what isn't.

And yes, friend, since people ask: Adultland is a community for biological women. The internet has plenty of spaces trying to be everything for everyone. This isn't one of them.

What if I join and ghost it like the last four things?

Then you ghost it, and nothing bad happens.

Everything inside is asynchronous. No live calls. No attendance sheet. Nothing to fall behind on. Some women check in daily, some pop in once a week, some disappear for a month because life happens and pick right back up where they left off.

This was built for a brain that doesn't do things on a schedule. Coming and going is allowed. That's the whole point.

What actually happens inside?

Conversations. Resources. Questions nobody has asked you before. Women sharing what's working, what's not, and what they're learning along the way.

There's the Looking Glass, which picks up where the Alice Audit left off. There are rooms for half-formed thoughts, for making space, for the small victories, for books and ideas. Less social media, more reading room. Less performance, more honesty.

How much does it cost?

Founding membership is $37/month or $370/year.

Founding members lock in that rate for as long as they stay, even after the price goes up for everyone who comes later. Once the founding cohort closes, pricing increases.

Can I cancel? What about refunds?

Of course you can cancel. No exit interview, no guilt trip.

Monthly cancels anytime. You keep your seat through the month you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again.

If you paid for the year and decide to leave partway through, I'll refund the months you didn't use, prorated. You're not locked into anything here.
